The South Australian Jockey Club is South Australia’s premier racing club, playing host to 55 days of racing action throughout the year at Morphettville Racecourse. The South Australian Jockey Club is home to a diverse multipurpose venue featuring 22 functions rooms which are available to host events seven days a week. Our employees are spread throughout Hospitality, Administration, Operations and the Club’s external entertainment venue – The Junction.

Located on Anzac Highway and part of the South Australian Jockey Club, The Junction is a flexible first-class venue – equipped and ready to cater for a variety of functions and events. With a number of function spaces the venue is able to cater for gatherings large and small and includes a Bistro, Sports Bar, multipurpose function room and a 40 machine gaming room.

RECEPTIONIST

We seek an enthusiastic Receptionist to work each Saturday Raceday plus two (2) weekdays to be agreed.  This is a shared role with another Receptionist who will work the remaining three (3) weekdays.

Customer Service and Morphettville’s public image are paramount at every juncture of your work.

  • Provide high level reception support to members, clients, public and staff
  • General office administration and reception tasks including greeting clients and stakeholders, answering, actioning & redirecting enquiries, mail distribution, ordering items, booking meetings and events, maintaining general filing systems and general cleaning
  • Lock and unlock the building upon arrival and departure

CHEF DE PARTIE (CASUAL) – THE JUNCTION

This position is at our Junction Bar & Bistro which is located on Anzac Highway.  Reporting to the Head Chef, the Chef De Partie is responsible for consistently preparing, cooking and presenting food to the highest standard for patrons of The Junction.

This role does include weekend and evening work, particularly Saturday Race-Day.  Shifts are rostered in advance as needed across 7 days.
