A Celebration of Local Flavour at the 2025 Sportsbet Adelaide Racing Carnival

23 April 2025

As the 2025 Sportsbet Adelaide Racing Carnival kicks into gear, so too does an unforgettable culinary experience at Morphettville—one that celebrates bold flavours, refined experiences, and unmistakably South Australian produce.

Across the three weekends of the Carnival, guests can expect a menu that reflects not only the creativity of the kitchen team but also a deep respect for seasonal ingredients and regional suppliers.

Whether you’re indulging in a premium plated meal in the Winning Post, enjoying a shared feast in the Corporate Suites, or sampling a refined canapé menu, the food is designed to deliver on both sophistication and approachability. At the core of it all is a passionate commitment to local ingredients.

“Supporting South Australian producers is at the heart of how we cook at Morphettville,” Morphettville Executive Chef, Steven Clark, said.

“From the Limestone Coast to the Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu, and Eyre Peninsula—we’ve brought the best of the state to the table, it’s about celebrating where we’re from and what makes South Australia’s food culture so special.”

Diners can expect vibrant entrées like kingfish ceviche with Thai gazpacho or yuzu kosho prawns to kick off the experience. Signature beef mains—reimagined weekly, from a rich Pedro Ximenez braise to a punchy, playful pairing with crispy chilli potatoes and togarashi. Coffin Bay oysters, Spencer Gulf prawns, premium beef, citrus, herbs and vegetables from the South East and Mid North, as well as Beerenberg relishes also feature over the Carnival.

“Each week, we’ve drawn inspiration from a mix of global influences—Japanese yuzu, Thai green curry, classic French sauces—while still staying grounded in seasonal South Australian produce,” Clark said.

“We wanted the menus to celebrate bold, fresh flavours while showcasing the creativity of the team.”

With some of Australia’s best racing talent set to descend on Morphettville, the excitement is palpable.

“There’s nothing like the buzz of a big racing crowd—it’s electric,” said Clark.

“For the team, it’s a chance to push ourselves creatively and operationally.

“We’ve built something special for the Adelaide Racing Carnival this year, and I can’t wait to see it all come to life across every room.”

From trackside thrills to unforgettable bites, the 2025 Adelaide Racing Carnival promises a celebration of South Australian racing, flavour, and flair like no other.
