Assistant Venue Manager
The Junction

Located on Anzac Highway, The Junction is equipped and ready to cater for a variety of functions and events. The Bistro, Sports Bar, Function Room, Hahn Bar, TAB/Keno and 39 machine gaming room are open 7 days a week.

You have experience in day to day managing a venue and are seeking the next step in your career. You will be customer-focused and committed to creating memorable and exceptional experiences for our members, patrons, and staff.

Reporting directly to the Venue Manager, you will have proven operational experience in all facets of venue management, including (but not limited to):

  • Day-to-day running of a venue including opening / closing of the venues Sports Bar, Bistro and Gaming, cash balancing, stock control and rostering
  • Hands on food & bar service across gaming, sports bar, functions, and bistro service
  • Leading, managing, and empowering staff with training

Food & Beverage Supervisor

Morphettville, home of the South Australian Jockey Club (SAJC) and a premier entertainment destination in Adelaide, is seeking a dynamic Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead their team to deliver excellence and unforgettable experiences.

Morphettville Racecourse is proud to be South Australia’s largest and premier racing club, playing host to more than 40 days of racing action throughout the year at Morphettville Racecourse. Our employees are spread throughout Hospitality, Events, Administration, Operations, and the Club’s external entertainment venue – The Junction.

It’s an exciting time to join the team, with the development of our newly established Wolf Blass Event Centre, we are currently shaping a new future for Morphettville, one that will see it reach its full potential as both the center of South Australian racing and a thriving community hub. With over 1000 seats of capacity across two levels, overlooking the racecourse and Adelaide Hills, this facility is the cornerstone for events in the redeveloped Morphettville precinct.

Groundsperson

We are seeking an experienced Groundsperson to join our Racing Operations team to ensure delivery of superior quality racing surfaces, training facilities, grounds and associated amenities.

To be successful in this role, you will naturally demonstrate:

  • An understanding of the Racing Industry
  • High degree of communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment

A few of your key responsibilities

  • Routine maintenance of grounds, racetracks, turf, synthetic, artificial and other surfaces
  • Moving running rails and attending to other raceday and pre-raceday requirements
  • Operate, maintain and adjust turf machinery
  • Apply fertilisers, fungicides, herbicides and insecticides
  • Support the gardening team in the planting and trimming of trees, sowing, planting and cutting of grass and watering of plants, gardens, trees, lawns and displays
  • Remove cuttings, rakes leaves, cleans/empty litter bins, clean gutters/drains/culverts

Casual Food & Beverage Attendant

With the completion of our Events Centre, and the Spring Racing Carnival just around the corner, we are now looking for talented and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Attendants to join our team.

There are a variety of casual positions available across our different teams (gates, furniture team, hospitality, events) and offer a variety of shifts on feature race days, Saturdays, public holidays or throughout the week, perfect for someone looking for supplementary work OR an established food & beverage superstar looking to grow their hospitality career.

In addition to opportunities at the Racecourse, there are also exciting opportunities available at The Junction, with particular interest in candidates who have experience in a gaming room, or duty management roles.
