Tootell’s century win on Finals Day

Jockey Caitlin Tootell produced a ton of victories on Saturday when she led Ginger Sinner to a thrilling victory in the Sportsbet Riziz Series Final at Morphettville.

Tootell navigated the wide barrier to edge the Paula Trenwith-trained runner home to conclude Sportsbet Finals Day.

Tootell also brought up a winning double for the day after winning the Sportsbet Viddora Series Final on Starlite Valley for trainer Kym Healy.

Worsfold proved persistence does eventually pay off, taking the honours in the Sportsbet Restricted Series Final, snapping a 150-week drought without success for trainer Luke O’Connor and jockey Todd Pannell.

The nine-year-old gelding charged home to take out the 1200m final, while Komachi, with Kayla Crowther on board, succeeded in a tense finish to win the $105,000 Sportsbet Happy Trails Series Final over 1200m for trainer Will Clarken.

Chicago Storm again showed another gutsy effort to take out the Sportsbet Gytrash Series Final over 1200m. Ridden by Rochelle Milnes, the David Aldridge-trained runner held out the charging Zoupurring and Wiggum.

Mostly For Show again showed the knowledge of trainers Richard Jolly and Chantelle Jolly to win the Sportsbet Rebel Raider Series Final over 1200m, backing up from a mid-week second placing at Murray Bridge.

Jockey Teagan Voorham played a key part in Eventually finishing best to take out the Sportsbet Skybeau Series Final over 2500m, the Sarah Rutten-trained runner finished strongly, while trainer Stephen Theodore looked thrilled when Oxford Blue took out the Sportsbet Country Mile Final over 1600m.

The win gave jockey Cam Rawiller a winning double, after he led Vexatious Dancer to victory in the 1200m Sportsbet Country Sprint Final.
