This Saturday is the calm before the upcoming Group 1 storm that is the 2026 Sportsbet Adelaide Racing Carnival at Morphettville with a 10-race program set to be staged on the Parks track.

We do have one feature event on the day with the Sportsbet H C Nitschke Stakes to be run for the three-year-olds at Listed level over 1400 metres.

Once again, it is a very challenging day for finding a winner with wide open betting markets the order of the day.

Trainer Stephen Theodore has his team humming along and I thought his in form galloper Oxford Blue has a terrific chance of going one better than his past two second placings in Race 6, Holly O’s 18th Handicap (1950m).

Value wise on the card a couple that grabbed my attention were Invertational in Race 8, the Sportsbet More Places Handicap (1250m) for trainer Will Clarken and Thebigsosso in Race 9, the Dominant Clean Sweep Handicap (Heat 8 of Festival State Sprint Series) (1250m), which has done little wrong since joining the Luke O’Connor barn.
