The second TAB Finals Day is nearly upon us as city and country come together to showcase the best horses and trainers that South Australia has to offer.
In partnership with TAB and Racing SA, TAB Finals Day will return to Morphettville on Saturday 25 November and will see nine-race finals made up of heat winners from metro, provincial and country tracks across SA.
For Morphettville CEO, Grant Mayer, it is all about creating a Grand Final like experience and bringing South Australian racing together.
“To host TAB Finals Day for a second year at Morphettville is a fantastic opportunity and we look forward to welcoming owners and trainers who may have traditionally had fewer opportunities to experience Morphettville for this true celebration of the calibre of South Australian racing.
“TAB Finals Day is a unique day on the SA racing calendar with impressive prizemoney on offer and to also highlight the contributions of those being inducted into the Hall of Fame,” he said.
The nine-race finals program will celebrate South Australian Thoroughbred Racing’s Hall of Fame with three races to be named after 2023 Hall of Fame inductees who will also be announced on the day.
This week will see the final heats run before final fields are accepted and announced on Wednesday 22 November.
Oakbank Racing Club CEO, Shane Collins said the TAB Finals Day is a great concept for South Australian racing.
“It provides an opportunity for trainers the opportunity to showcase what they can do at country and provincial level.
“For the owners, they can suit up and spend the day trackside in the big smoke,” he said.
Celebrate regional success on a metropolitan stage! The best of country, provincial and city racing is coming to Morphettville on Saturday 25 November.
