24 April 2024

The Sportsbet Adelaide Racing Carnival is set to go to new heights in 2024, with an unprecedented big-win atmosphere, impeccable hospitality, monster putt activation, and the biggest names in Australian racing all converging on Morphettville.

Still have some space to fill on your calendar between April 27 – May 11? Here are five reasons for you to book in a day of racing.

1. Biggest names in Australian racing

Chris Waller, Gai Waterhouse, James McDonald and SA’s own Jamie Kah highlight a lineup of the who’s who of Australian racing visiting Morphettville for the first Group 1 weekend of the Adelaide Racing Carnival this Saturday.

We will also see returning Group 3 winners, the Jason Warren-trained Benedetta (R N Irwin Stakes) and the dominate filly, Wings of Song (Auraria Stakes) who is trained Patrick Payne.

James McDonald will make his first appearance at Morphettville and will be looking to add to his 94 Group 1 victories with rides booked for Chris Waller (Roots – Sangster) and Mark Walker (Campionessa – G2 Queen of the South Stakes).

The commitment to racing in South Australia and partnership between Sportsbet, SAJC and Racing SA is already seeing a positive outcome and will look to continue this growth moving in to 2025 and beyond.

2. Free general admission

In celebration if  the announcement of a record breaking 7-year partnership between Sportsbet and the SAJC, there’s free GA on offer for adults and as always kids get in for free so we have families covered for a low cost day out.

The Wolf Blass Event Centre is Adelaide’s newest, premium hospitality destination and is a unique opportunity to elevate your race day experience.

Whether you’re a race lover looking to enjoy a dining experience, or a business owner wanting to host employees or clients, there is no better way to enjoy the views of the finishing post and spectacular Adelaide Hills backdrop.

Featuring a carefully curated menu from Executive Chef, Steve Clark and team, the dining experience is focused on showcasing the best of South Australian produce complemented by a selection from some of our best local wineries.

4. Putt for Dough – win a share of $100k

Sportsbet will be bringing the off-track activation across the Adelaide Racing Carnival with visitors having the opportunity to sink a MONSTER 70-foot putt to win a share of $100k.

Located trackside in front of the heritage grandstand, there will be DJ’s playing across the day and you’ll have a great viewing spot to catch all the hotly contested racing on the track.

Do you have what it takes to go home with the cash?

Including a new Track Maintenance Facility and the refurbishment of Level 2 within the Grandstand, a new and exciting race day location for our members (you can still become a member for the 2023/24 season now).
