We are back on the main track for Guinness Day at Morphettville this Saturday, and naturally with the wet weather this week, a rain affected surface yet again is awaiting us.
My standout selection for the day is Extremely Rowdy which comes up in Race 4, the Vale Geoff Oliver Handicap (1200m), an event named in honour of the remarkable Geoff Oliver.
Geoff was a lifelong racing supporter in many capacities and also the founder of Oliver’s Pets and Plants.

Extremely Rowdy is a recent addition to the Will Clarken and Charlotte Sorby yard and is a last start winner with Noel Callow in the saddle, who retains the ride again on the weekend.
Value wise I have a feeling Tully Rapids can run a big race in the opener, the Guinness Three-Years-Old Maiden Plate (1100m), with Kayla Crowther aboard for Gary Searle, Nicole Searle and Brianna Callanan.
My Racing.com teammate John Kelton is making his best bet the Jake Stephens’ lightly-raced mare Extra Chill in the penultimate race of the day, the Superior Logistics Australia Handicap (1800m), which is another good opportunity on the card for Noel Callow to find the winner’s stall.
Looking forward to the day and covering all of the action from Morphettville on Racing.com.
