On Saturday we are on the Morphettville Parks track for a nine-event card with the rail out 6 metres from the 1000 metre mark to the winning post and then 3 metres for the remainder of the circuit. 

Plenty of interest will focus on Race 3, the Thomas Farms Handicap (1000m) with the return to racing of quality mares such as Mic Drop, Angel Torque and Bassett Babe. 

These are three girls, all no doubt with connections hoping to have their sights on Melbourne this spring. 

Maxildo has been racing in great heart this campaign and I see no reason why it won’t be a force once again in Race 5, the Hahn Handicap (1560m) this weekend. 

I also feel Justica’s Bonus is possibly in career best form and can have a big bearing on the outcome of Race 8, the Festival Hire Handicap (1250m).
