Terry’s Tips

Racing at Morphettville on Saturday is on the Parks circuit for a nine-event program with the rail back in the true position and the surface likely to be just into the soft range.

It appears an extremely challenging day to find a winner with plenty of value likely to be found if you can strike a blow.

I agree with my Racing.com teammate John Kelton with Fast Tempo maybe the standout horse on the day in the Sportsbet Blackbook Handicap (1550m).

Prepared by the Gordon Richards and Damien Moyle barn, he has bolted in winning two of his past three outings. With Jason Holder back in the saddle and drawn gate one, with no bad luck he will be extremely hard to beat.

At big odds, some horses I think can run well are The True Believer in Race 5, the The Fotobase Group Handicap (2250m) for trainer Grant Young and jockey Will Price and Territorian in Race 6, the Aceit Transport Solutions Handicap (1400m) for Sarah Rutten and Connor Murtagh.

If John’s horse Uptown Monk can run up to his ability, watch out for him in the final race of the day, the Adelaide Galvanising Industries Handicap (1250m).
