On Saturday racing returns to the Parks track for a nine-event card for Champions Stakes Day at Morphettville with the rail out three metres from the 1200-metre mark to the winning post.
With all the dry weather this week the racing surface is certain to be in the good range and the opener, the Sportsbet Green Tick Two-Year-Old Plate (1000m), will see the first of the two-year-old events run in South Australia this season but there are only five runners.
It is always an exciting time when the youngsters grace the track for the first occasion, and to all the connections on Saturday, the very best of luck.

Amongst his mounts is the Stuart Gower-prepared Confucius Flyer, who lines up in Race 8, the Beyond Bank Handicap (1000m). The lightly raced galloper was super impressive winning for Callow a fortnight ago.
Jake Toeroek is another jockey in good form, and he too has a strong hand with his eight engagements on Saturday.
Early betting markets haver Toeroek on four of the favourites with Virtual Illusion my pick as the best of his day in Race 5, the Claude Haigh Memorial Handicap (1250m).
No jockey has ridden more winners in South Australia this season than Connor Murtagh and amongst his six rides for the meeting is Canny Miss in Race 6, the Mimi’s Fast Fillies Handicap (1250m), who bolted in a fortnight ago.
At Flemington, their big carnival concludes with Champions Day with three Group 1s on the program.
Looking forward to another great day at the track at Morphettville.
