Even big artists touring their latest album are reluctant to make the trip to the South, and so often we are left off the line up… settling for Netflix and chill, instead of anything that gets us out and about. The team at Morphettville are here to change all of that!

On Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 June, we are throwing the biggest two day festival celebrating the good things in life. And here are 5 reasons why it’d be absolutely crazy to miss Red, Rock & Ribs at Morphettville Racecourse this June.

This is no joke… BBQ competitions are the real deal and when it comes to win or lose, the stakes (or should I say steaks) are high! We have confirmed 34 teams (with names like Texas Coleslaw Massacre) who are ready to compete for the trophy at this year’s 2019 Fire Side BBQ Competition.

Watch them rub, roast, rack up and roulade their way to victory!

Wine tours are great, but this June we bring the tour to you!! Our cosy cellar door precinct is jam packed with 30+ wineries and breweries including Taylors, Jeanneret, Leconfield, Laughing Jack, Peter Lehmann, Stone & Wood, Prancing Pony Brewery, Treehouse Cider, Hollick, Toy Soldier Brewing, Robert Oatley and many more offering up tastings of their latest creations and best blends. The tasting ticket includes free tastings and is by far the best value on the Red, Rock & Ribs menu.

Whether you’re into roses, whites or reds, or if you’d rather skip the wines and head straight to the craft beer and ciders, we’ve got you covered. Explore the best wine regions South Australia has to offer, without venturing out into the countryside.

That’s right! This is a family friendly event, so kids are more than welcome. In fact the first 100 kids that walk into Red, Rock & Ribs will receive an exclusive Red, Rock & Ribs activity bag which includes some marshmallows for roasting in our open fire pits (parental supervision needed), hot chocolate, an activity pad, some temp tattoos and other fun stuff to keep them entertained while you enjoy the ambiance.

There will also be a kid friendly zone with activities that will keep them busy while you enjoy some downtime.

There will be a whopping 400 vintage cars on display at Red, Rock & Ribs, with some real gems on show dating back to the 1920s. Even if you’re not into cars, these are living pieces of history that really need to be seen to be appreciated.

Proud owners will also be on course so if you want to talk the talk with the loving owners of these amazing vehicles you can most certainly do that. It’s one the kids will love to see too, there is something for everyone!

We’ve pulled together some of Adelaide’s best pub rock bands to entertain you all afternoon long. Our concert hall is gearing up to the be the ultimate place to dance the day away.

On the main stage Saturday we have Reggae On, Mr Buzzy and the New Romantics. Sunday sees The Flaming Sambucas, The Incredibles and Clearway.

The bands are absolutely fired up to get the party started! 6 bands across two days in our concert hall… you literally can’t go wrong!

Morphettville is getting into the BBQ groove with our amazing Executive Chef creating a Southern Brisket Brioche with horseradish slaw, maple bacon crumb and served with a pickle and fries. But if that doesn’t float your boat, our Barossa smoked chipotle kransky baguette with mustard slaw served with a pickle and fries or Sriracha Buffalo wings with blue cheese dipping sauce are sure to satisfy the fussiest of taste buds!
