Terry’s Tips
Victoria Derby Day

28 October 2026

Saturday is one of the great race days of racing in Australia, with Victoria Derby Day at Flemington and to coincide with that at Morphettville we have a nine-event card set down for decision.

At Morphettville I’m looking at Extra Fling in Race 5, the Sherriff Electrical Wholesalers Handicap (1200m) as a horse well worth following. Trained by David Jolly and Justin Potter, he appears a horse with genuine upside.

Value wise on Saturday, there are two horses that have captured my attention. I am going to suggest the following horses will both run well.

In Race 6, the Lexus of Adelaide Handicap (2014m), look out for Tower Of Tuscany for trainer Kirsten Mooney and Campbell Rawiller has the ride.

While in Race 8, the Dave Loy Handicap (1511m), the runner for the Sarah Rutten yard, I Am Ralph, should go well with jockey Brooke King on board.

All the very best of luck for Victoria Derby Day!
