A great run down the Morphettville straight handed Winning All Round victory in the Hahn Handicap (1522m) on the opening day of the Spring Racing Carnival at Morphettville on Saturday.
Sitting third and fourth throughout a majority of the run, the four-year-old gelding charged away to win by just over a length, and handing jockey Taylor Johnstone her 200th career winner.
Trainer Aaron Bain said Winning All Round had been running well in the lead up to Saturday’s win, without tasting the ultimate success.
“He’s just a genuine horse, he keeps giving,’’ Bain said.
“When he missed a place at Mildura, his only unplaced run, we should have spelled him.
“At this stage we will just go through the grades, but I think he will get over further ground.’’

Bain also was thrilled for Johnstone on her 200th winning milestone.
“Taylor is a very good part of the team,’’ Bain said.
“I am not sure how many winners she has had for us but she rode him very well and exposed him at the right time. It was a very good ride.’’
The Phillip and Tommy Stokes barn, also had an impressive start to the Carnival, collecting a double on Saturday with Regal Ripper winning the Aceit Transport Solutions Handicap (1522m), then Bohemian Angel was too good for her rivals in the Vale John Nelligan Handicap (1200m).
Jockeys Noel Callow and Jake Toeroek also recorded winning doubles on Saturday.
Callow had a race-to-race double when he piloted Sixty Grand home in a frantic finish in the Sportsbet Blackbook Handicap (2028m), then backed it up in the next event aboard Bohemian Angel.
Toeroek was aboard Golden Cloud to win the Spring Carnival at Morphettville Handicap (1200m), then finished the day in style by leading home Bred ‘Em All for Richard and Chantelle Jolly in the Quayclean Handicap (1050m).
