Morphettville trainer Chris Bieg is again daring to dream big with his returning mare Teardrop Rotation, who produced a remarkable comeback victory at Morphettville Parks on Saturday after recovering from a serious trackwork accident.
Teardrop Rotation had been on an upward trajectory earlier in the year, highlighted by her strong performance in The Shillabeer at Oakbank, which had her firmly on the path to the Adelaide Guineas.
But those plans were shelved in April when the daughter of D’Argento was involved in a frightening training mishap that left three of her legs injured—one badly enough to require surgery.

Her return to the races was equally dramatic. Settling a long way off the speed in the Thomas Farms Handicap (1400m), she was 12 lengths from the leaders at one point. But a perfectly judged ride from Teagan Voorham saw the four-year-old storm home, reeling in Thebigsosso to secure a stirring first-up win.
Now boasting three wins from her past three starts, Teardrop Rotation has Bieg looking ahead with confidence toward her autumn campaign.
Saturday’s meeting also showcased the dominance of South Australia’s female riders, who claimed eight of the nine races on the card.
Voorham led the way with a winning treble, adding victories aboard Eventually in the Half Yours Caulfield Cup Winner Handicap (2400m) and Hysterical Lady in the Fleurieu Milk Company Handicap (1250m).
The final two races of the day were run with jockeys wearing black armbands in honour of respected Group 1-winning trainer Paul Beshara, who passed away earlier on Saturday after a long illness.
