Morphettville is proud to continue its partnership with Equilus, formerly known as Riding for the Disabled South Australia, as an official charity partner throughout the 2026 Spring Racing Carnival at Morphettville.
Following a successful partnership during the Sportsbet Adelaide Racing Carnival, Equilus will return for the Spring Racing Carnival at Morphettville, continuing a relationship built on a shared connection to horses and a commitment to creating a positive impact within the South Australian community.
Executive Officer Leanne Sanders said Equilus is delighted to continue the partnership with Morphettville and is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Spring Racing Carnival.
“With horses at the heart of all we do, this partnership provides a wonderful opportunity to celebrate that shared connection while introducing more people to the work of Equilus,” Sanders said.

“We very much appreciate the support of Morphettville and racegoers throughout the Spring Carnival who will help us continue providing opportunities for people across South Australia to participate, build confidence, develop skills, and experience the connection and enjoyment that horses can bring.”
Equilus will have an on-course presence throughout the Spring Racing Carnival at Morphettville on Everest Day (October 17), Cox Plate Day (October 24), Victoria Derby Day (October 31) and Melbourne Cup Day (November 3), giving racegoers the opportunity to learn more about the organisation and support its important work.
Located in front of the Sportsbet Diva Bar deck, the Equilus activation will provide a dedicated space for patrons to connect with the organisation and its volunteers.
Across participating race days, racegoers will be able to support Equilus through gate collections, raffle ticket sales, merchandise purchases and roaming volunteers throughout the venue, with funds raised helping the organisation continue its work across South Australia.
For more than 50 years, the organisation has delivered inclusive, horse-assisted programs supporting people living with a disability to build confidence, develop life skills, improve physical strength and enhance their overall wellbeing.
The ongoing partnership celebrates the unique connection between horses and the community, while providing Equilus with a platform to raise awareness and vital funds during the Spring Racing Carnival at Morphettville.
We look forward to being part of the Carnival and sharing our story with the Morphettville community.
