Jockey Noel Callow dominated Saturday’s Victoria Derby Day at Morphettville, riding home four winners.
All four of Callow’s winners were for four different trainers, the five-time Group 1 winning hoop started the day with an almost four-length win in the Sportsbet Blackbook Maiden Plate (1200m) on All Honesty for Robbie Griffths.
Callow then guided Longer Route to victory in the Lexus of Adelaide Handicap (2014m) for Hazel Fertier and made it back-to-back wins when All Too Mysti won by just over a length in the MM Electrical Handicap (1600m) for Richard and Chantelle Jolly.
Callow had to win that race on two occasions, surviving a protest after the connections of second-placed Shady Thinker alleged there was interference down the Morphettville straight.
The fourth victory came in the next race, the Dave Loy Handicap (1511m) when Anahorish saluted for Phillip and Tommy Stokes, but Callow will miss three meetings, hit with a careless riding ban aboard All Too Mysti. Meeting dates are yet to be decided.

“It’s been great. I had nice rides on paper, and they stuck their heads out and they’ve all had pretty good runs,” Callow said.
“My best is six out of seven in Singapore – but four – I am very happy with.”
Callow could have had six winners on the day with Sicilian Princess running second to Beyond Mysti in the Kirin Ichiban Handicap (1200m), and Tripod Terror missing by a nose to Copper Bullet in the Sherriff Electrical Wholesalers Handicap (1200m).
“I was a bit rusty when I first came back (to SA), I have to admit. I hadn’t ridden in a race for a year,” Callow said.
“The penny dropped about three weeks in because I was riding a lot of horses in the market and giving them every chance, but I had to go back to tucking them away and exposing them when the gap opened – it’s worked for me.”
It was yet another impressive display from It’sanotherbattle , who won by over seven lengths in the first of the day, the Sportsbet Jockey Watch Handicap (1050m), with the training duo Shane and Cassie Oxlade achieved a perfect result, with stablemate He’s A Cool Cat securing the quinella.
Richard Jolly and Chantelle Jolly claimed training honours with a double on Saturday’s card and victory on The Golden Cloud ($3.20) in the Peter Elberg Funerals Handicap (1200m) gave jockey Jake Toeroek a double as well.
