2024 Listed Durbridge Stakes

25 January 2024

Racing returns to Headquarters this week with a big 10-race card including a stacked field in the $120,000 Listed Durbridge Stakes over 1100m.

After winning the Gytrash series final on TAB Finals Day, the Peter and Belinda Blach-trained Validated will return to Listed level racing after running fourth on New Years Day at Flemington.

For Richard and Chantelle Jolly, Aitch Two Oh returns from a 10-week freshen up to resume after a recent trial win and will look to go one better at Listed level on the main track after a second in the WH Wylie in 2023.

The Jolly stable will also see Shaquero run for the second time since taking ownership from Chris Waller in the backend of 2023.

Cody Reardon will look to Emily Finnegan to continue her impressive form on Grinzinger Prince with hopes to take out their first Listed type win with the five-year-old gelding. From their last four runs, the combination has scored two wins, a second and a third.

Manhattan Times is set to return from a spell for the Andrew Gluyas stable after his last run in the Listed WH Wylie last September. The stable will be looking for the geldings’ first Listed type win after four placings from six starts.

After a long spell for Travis Doudle, five-year-old gelding, Pegasi returned to racing with a third at Murray Bridge on January 13 and will now look at a second Listed race start on Saturday.

Aitch Two Oh, Larimer Street and Manhatten Times all stretched their legs in a trial at Murray Bridge earlier in this month, with Aitch Two Oh leading from start to finish.

It’s been a long summer spell at Morphettville, so why not take advantage of the nice weather in store and get trackside! Tickets are available here: https://bit.ly/SaturdayJan27RaceDay
