Geegees Mistruth stormed home down the Morphettville straight to win the Sportsbet Robert Sangster Stakes (1200m) on Saturday.
The race looked like a two-horse showdown between 2025 winner Charm Stone and Bridal Waltz before Geegees Mistruth came from the clouds in a photo finish.
Saturday’s win was a great result for trainer Mark Walker and it was a second Group 1 victory for jockey Jordan Childs, after winning the 2018 Blue Diamond Stakes aboard Written By.
Stable representatives have indicted Geegees Mistruth is unlikely to tackle the Sportsbet Goodwood (1200m) on Saturday, May 9, with the mare looking “probably deserving a good holiday”.
Race favourite Generosity finished sixth, denying James McDonald and Chris Waller the perfect day after their success with Panova in the Sportsbet Australasian Oaks (2000m).

The inside run from jockey Zac Lloyd steered the three-year-old gelding home, the win Lloyd’s first in South Australia.
