Finals fever builds at Morphettville
The countdown to Sportsbet Finals Day heats up on Saturday, with three more heats in the Sportsbet Gytrash, Happy Trails and Riziz series at Champion Stakes Day at Morphettville.
With Sportsbet Finals Day just two weeks away, places for a spot in the epic Country v City showdown is on offer and this massive day brings together the very best of South Australian racing – all competing for bragging rights.
Zoupurring has won two of its three races since coming to South Australia and can make it three from four in Sportsbet Gytrash Series heat in the SkyCity Handicap (1250m).

Zebella also looks likely to claim top honours in the Sportsbet Happy Trails heat in the Bendigo Bank Handicap (1400m). She was beaten last up by Mt Niseko, who is running at Flemington on Saturday, while Shadow Eagle looks the one to beat in the Riziz Series heat in the final race on the card, the Sportsbet More Places Handicap (1000m).
Interstate at Flemington, South Australians will go head-to-head in two races on Saturday. The Phillip Stokes-trained Stay Focused will race against Klabel for Richard Jolly and Chantelle Jolly in the FISHER Stakes (1200m).
While in the HKJC World Pool Grand Handicap (1100m), Sweethearted for Stokes will battle against Mt Niseko, with Melbourne Cup winning jockey Jamie Melham on board for Morphettville trainer Chris Bieg in the final race of the carnival.
