Stung has propelled herself into Sportsbet Australasian Oaks contention with a stunning win in the Sportsbet Clare Lindop Stakes (1600m) at Morphettville on Saturday.
Led strongly on the rails by interstate jockey Luke Currie, Stung cleared the field in the final 300m to defeat Oak Park Maddison.
The three-year-old filly cruised to victory – which impressed Currie – who has ridden 13 Group One winners.
Ben, Will and JD Hayes will be looking at next month’s Sportsbet Australasian Oaks after the stable confirmed Stung will remain in Adelaide, staying with local trainer Stuart Gower.

Stung was the second interstate raider to claim one of the three listed Stakes races on Saturday, with Shadhavar shining bright to win the Sportsbet Matrice Stakes (1200m).
The four-year-old kicked clear to win by one length over Power Beau with local jockey Jacob Opperman on board for Warrnambool-based trainer Tom Dabernig.
Dabernig now will consider a 2026 Sportsbet Adelaide Racing Carnival assault for Shadhavar, who won last month’s Magic Millions SA 3&4YO Classic at Murray Bridge.

Trainer Byron Cozamanis will now target the Without Fear Stakes (1050m) on Saturday, April 11 before the Group 3 Breeders’ Stakes on the first day of the 2026 Sportsbet Adelaide Racing Carnival on Saturday, April 25.
The victory was Milnes’ second for the day, after she piloted Signature Scent in the Fleurieu Milk Company Handicap (1050m).
Milnes shared riding honours with jockey Jake Toeroek, who also rode a winning double on board Mostly For Show in The Junction Handicap (1600m) and High On Sugar in the Sportsbet Adelaide Racing Carnival April 25-May 9 Handicap (Heat 4 of Festival State Sprint Series) (1100m).
