This Saturday we go racing on the Morphettville Parks track with the rail out three metres.
Saturday’s meeting is a mammoth 10-event card and with unpredictability with the weather forecast, it is uncertain how the track will be as far as a rating is concerned.
Speaking with my Racing.com offsider John Kelton, he is still confident we will be on a good surface.
John’s best bet on the program is Ramasis in Race 2, the AIG Security Maiden Plate (1250m) for trainer Travis Doudle and jockey Will Price. John also expects his own horse Uptown Monk to be very hard to beat in the next event, the Sportsbet Jockey Watch Handicap (1400m).

I found it a very challenging day but for Get On SA made my best in Race 7, The Dominant Advantage Handicap (1400m), the inform Streetcar Apollo from the David Jolly and Justin Potter yard with Jake Toeroek to steer.
At each way value in Race 6, the Sportsbet Fast Form Handicap (1400m), the Chris Bieg prepared Annihilate with Campbell Rawiller aboard should run extremely well.
The Justin Pickering-trained Daisydoo in Race 8, the Sportsbet Adelaide Cup Day Monday 9 March Handicap (1000m) never runs badly, and jockey Maggie Collett has a wonderful record on the mare.
Across the border interstate there is Group 1 action from both Flemington and Randwick.
At Flemington, the three-year-olds take centre stage in the Australian Guineas. Randwick also has a three-year-old Group 1 the Surround Stakes for the fillies and the Group 1 Verry Elleegant Stakes is also set down for decision.
It should be a great day to get trackside at Morphettville.
