We take another step closer to our Group 1 racing days this weekend with an exciting 10-race program on the main track at Morphettville highlighted by three Black Type events.
First of these is Race 5, the Listed Sportsbet Dequetteville Stakes (1050m) for the two-year-old fillies.
The Sportsbet market for this feature is dominated by the Byron Cozamanis-trained Never Ordinary.

The filly has been outstanding in both career starts and is clearly the horse to beat from gate three with jockey Rochelle Milnes in the saddle.
In the Listed Sportsbet Matrice Stakes (1200m), the eighth race on the card, the visitors Arkansaw Kid and Shadhavar dominate the betting.
I’m sure Thunder Shoc can run a cheeky race at nice each way odds for trainer Will Clarken and jockey Kayla Crowther.
Likewise in the next event, the Listed Sportsbet Clare Lindop Stakes (1600m), watch for a bold showing from Freedom Flame with jockey Taylor Johnstone on board for the Andrew Gluyas stable.
Best on the card for me is A Samurai Mind, who steps out in the second race of the day, the Adelaide Galvanising Industries Handicap (1600m) with jockey Emily Pozman taking an invaluable three kilogram claim in the Dan Clarken and Oopy MacGillivray galloper.
Looking forward to a terrific day at Morphettville this Saturday.
